Choosing PowerView® Automation for Homes
As we roll into 2021, you may be thinking of making a few changes. Perhaps you want to run your first 5k, try a new recipe each week, or try your hand at yoga. While these are all wonderful goals, there is one resolution that everyone deserves after the year we had: ease. After all, why make life harder than it has to be if you can help it? For example, let’s say that you want to sleep in during the weekends, but the sunlight is streaming in through the blinds that you forgot to shut all the way. Or, perhaps you are speeding back home after you forgot to shut your living room blinds. Maybe you are going on minute 17 of trying to shut that hard-to-reach shade on that tall window. These are all small annoyances that we just do not have time for in 2021! Fortunately, Hunter Douglas has created a system that takes the effort out of adjusting your windows: PowerView® Automation. Choosing Custom Scheduling
There are certain things we do each day that may not be annoyances, but they do take up time. Let’s say you want to enjoy the sunrise as you get ready for work. This means you have to wake up a little earlier to open your shades. Then, you will have to circle back and close all of your shades before you leave the house for the day. Or perhaps you are a huge movie buff that likes to watch the latest flicks every Friday night. How annoying is it to have to get up and shut your blinds because street lamps and cars keep causing a glare? That is why one of the benefits of PowerView® Automation is custom scheduling.
Using the PowerView® App, you can schedule your window treatments to operate on a schedule or adjust in real time. For example, a “Good Morning” setting will open your shades at a certain time each morning whereas a “Goodbye” setting will shut them when you desire. With custom scheduling, PowerView® Automation does all of the work for you.
Choosing Your Favorite Device
Another one of the benefits of choosing PowerView® Automation is that it comes with a variety of pairing options. As mentioned above, you can easily control your window treatments from your smart phone or tablet via the PowerView® App. However, Hunter Douglas understands that not everyone is an app person! If this is the case, you can control your window treatments with the Pebble® Control. This nifty remote-control device lets you control up to six window treatments separately or together to achieve your lighting, shade, and privacy goals.
You can even pair PowerView® Automation with your current smart-home device, including Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple’s Siri. This allows you to control your window treatments with just your voice. So, whether you are snuggled in bed, watching a movie on your couch, or in the middle of cooking, you can simply say, “Okay Google, shut kitchen blinds.” From that moment, your window treatments will adjust automatically.
